Commercial & Hospitality Interior Design

CAB ROTO is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. Since 2013, we've designed hospitality venues, commercial interiors, buildings and tourism precincts throughout Queensland and beyond.

We design with the commercial realities of a project in mind — budget, buildability, operations, longevity and the people who ultimately use the space. Our experience across design, construction and fabrication gives us a practical understanding of how spaces perform and how things are made.

From site assessment and early planning through to detailed design, approvals, documentation and fabrication, we stay closely involved in turning ideas into places that work.

Precincts

We work with developers and operators on tourism, hospitality and commercial precincts, from early planning and feasibility through to staged redevelopment. Our work includes masterplanning, site and building surveys, BIM modelling, leasing strategies, planning support and the reconfiguration of existing buildings and underused spaces

Buildings

We design commercial, industrial and selected residential buildings, from early concepts and feasibility studies through to approvals and construction documentation. Performance, longevity, buildability and commercial viability inform the design from the outset.

Interiors

Hospitality is a big part of what we do, alongside retail, workplace, medical and other commercial interiors. We design the whole operation — not just the customer-facing space — considering kitchens, back-of-house, storage, service areas and the movement of staff and customers as part of the design.

Objects & Fabrication

We design and make custom furniture, lighting, joinery, installations and other one-off objects. Our experience in furniture making, prototyping, CAD/CAM and fabrication feeds directly back into our design work — we understand materials, manufacturing processes and how things actually go together.
