After opening seven successful cafes across the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, the Raw Energy team enlisted CAB ROTO to create a new design with a refined, urban aesthetic.

With a very bright colour palette already embedded in the brand's identity, one of the main design challenges was to bring a warm and casual atmosphere to the interiors while retaining the high energy colour scheme.

The new colour scheme sees the very intense, vibrant colour palette balanced with naturally muted, warm tones. Bamboo flooring at the counter, FC sheeting to planters and construction grade plywood furniture extended the natural tones while keeping the overall aesthetic fresh and lively.

The final design ensured that the service area and back of house could function at a skeleton crew of two staff, without having to stretch between workspaces, through to full capacity operation of six, without interrupting each other, and ultimately the work flow of the cafe.

In addition to the layout design, CAB ROTO prepared metal fabrication drawings for all back of house stainless steel works including benches, buy-in equipment modifications and exhaust canopy design.

Equipment schedules for all cooking and refrigerated equipment were prepared to encourage tendering for competitive pricing, along with furniture schedules, and detailed joinery and signage drawings.
